Date Coded for stock items that require date stamping

The date Code option is used when the stock item is to be date stamped for example perishable items. The date entered can be the date the goods expire or the date they arrived in the warehouse. The system will then use this when deciding which items to pick as it will pick the items with the earliest date stamp first.
Note: it is the location that the date stamp is recorded against and therefore if you book additional items into the location with a different date stamp the new date will overwrite the existing date stamp. Moving items using the HHT will move the date stamp from the old location to the new location (overwriting any exisitng date stamp on the new location).

  1. Open a Stock screen (show me how).
  2. Open the [ Detail | Options ] screen.
  3. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  4. Tick the Date coded checkbox in the Custom Options area at the bottom.
  5. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save.

Pack (Move With) Headers

Pack headers are virtual items so cannot be held in a warehouse location. Pack stock item headers need to be setup as non-physical items as follows:

  1. Open a Stock screen (show me how).
  2. Open the [ Detail | Options ] screen.
  3. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  4. Tick the Non-physical item checkbox in the Options area at the top.
  5. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save.

If you pre-pack pack items they should have a build relationship. This means that the system will be able to "store" the items in a warehouse location and they can then be picked using the HHT system.
