How To: Setup a Price List

Price Lists can be used to set up discounts for customers or can be used when setting up prices that can be used for customers who are buying stock items using a foreign currency. Setting up a new Price List is carried out in two stages.

Create a Price List (System Data screen)

1. Open a System Data screen (show me how).
2. Select [ Sales Order Processing | Price Lists ] tab.
3. Press Alt+E or click  to enter edit mode.
4. Press F3 or click  to add a new item.
5. Enter the details relevant to the price list.
   Note: by default both 'Price List' and 'Active' checkboxes are ticked.
6. Press Ctrl+S or click  to save.

Setup a Price List (Promotion screen)

1. Open a Promotion screen (show me how).
2. Select the [ Price Lists | Stock Item/Price List ] tab.
3. Select the required price list from the drop-down list.
4. Press Alt+E or click  to enter edit mode.
5. Press F3 or click  to add a new item.
6. Enter the required information in the relevant columns.
7. Repeat for more stock items if necessary.
8. If not using Sterling for the Price List then limit it to a specific currency by selecting the currency from the  drop down list.
   Note: Leave as None for Sterling.
9. Press Ctrl+S or click  to save.

Note: Parent SCS items can be added to a Price List. Child items can be added to a sales order and the Price List discounts will be applied to them.

System Values "force lowest price" option

The Force Sales Order Lowest Price in [ System Values | Sales | Pricing ] tab must NOT be ticked if multiple currencies are in use.
