019694: Allow a user to change the default date range for PO and SO

Overview

Saved filters can now be saved and set as default and applied to the Sales Order, Purchase Order and Stock List screens.

Usage

After applying the above Configuration, typical steps for usage would include:

Set default filters

Once set against a screen, each time the screen is opened, the default filters will be applied automatically.

  1. Open the List tab of the relevant screen.
  2. Apply the filters to be saved.
  3. Click on the dropdown next to the BtnFilterManagement.jpg Filter Management button on the Button Bar.
  4. Select Save Current Filters.
  5. In the dialog which appears:
    1. Enter a name for the filter set.
    2. Tick the Dates Relative To The Current Date checkbox if you wish the date range to be relative to the current date.
Note: this is only applicable to the Sales Order and Purchase Order List screens.
    3. Tick the Default checkbox to set the current set of filters as the default. If a set of filters is set as the default, they will be applied to the List tab when it is opened. The filters can be changed after this as normal, including manually applying a set of saved filters.
    4. Click OK.

Manage Filters dialog

The Manage Filters dialog is where you can update any filters that you have saved. To open it:

  1. Click on the dropdown next to the BtnFilterManagement.jpg Filter Management button on the Button Bar.
  2. Select Manage Filters.

Change the default filter

You can change the default filter by unticking any other default filters, and ticking the filter you wish to have as the default in the Manage Filters dialog.
Note: There can only be one set of default filters in each screen. Attempting to set multiple defaults will cause the last one set as the default to be default.

Rename a filter

You can rename a filter by over typing it in the Manage Filters dialog.

Delete a filter

You can delete a filter in the Manage Filters dialog by focusing on the filter you wish to remove and clicking on the BtnDelItemOld.jpg button.

Notes / Caveats

  • It is possible to have none of the filter sets set as the default. In that case the normal set of filters for that screen will apply.
  • It is not currently possible to save a set of filters for the stock lookup.
  • A saved filter set in the Stock List which has the UDA filters not set, will not clear the filters if any were applied before the filter set is applied.
