019821 Create stock records on order import
Overview
KCSL have modified the Order Import functionality of Khaos Control to allow for the creation of stock records on order import.
Specification
This new functionality will create any items from an order that do not exist in the Khaos Control database allowing for new items to be created on Order Import.
The Stock record when created, takes the following information:
- Stock Code - XML Stock Code
- Short Description - XML Short description
- Sell Price - XML Gross Unit
- Stock Type - [TBC] – When a stock item is imported and a Stock Type of “[TBC]” exists in the [ System Data | Level 2: Type] screen this will be set as the Stock Type so users know to modify it. If the Stock Type “[TBC]” is not found then it will be imported with a stock type of “System & Miscellaneous”.
The stock record will be marked as stock controlled and will not import with a level against it, allowing it to appear on the [ Sales Invoice Manager | Back Orders ] reports.
Note: If an order contains an item that has no stock code, this will be imported with an SKU of “unknown” if this item already exists then the details against the item will be updated, if any Sales Orders that have this item have the “Refetch Price” used against it then the Order information will be updated to have this new price.
