How To: Add Images to Stock Items being Listed on eBay


Channel Listings is not enabled by default.
Training must be completed before using Channel Listings.

 Channel Listings is an Advanced User feature.

Before adding images to listings the image type must be setup, see How To: Setup Images for Listing Items on eBay. Images must be stored on an external website that can be accessed by eBay.

The images can be added to individual stock items in the [ Stock | Detail | Telesales / Internet | Primary ] tab or added to a specific channel in the [ Channel Listings | Listing Details ] screen. For adding images to SCS items, see How To: Add Images for SCS Listings.

Add Images to Stock Items

  1. Open a Stock screen (show me how).
  2. Load the required stock item.
  3. Open the [ Stock | Detail | Telesales / Internet | Primary ] tab.
  4. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  5. Click the the world icon button to add an image URL button in the Image section.
  6. In the Add Image (URL) popup enter the URL.
  7. Click on OK to close the popup.
  8. Add a Name, for example 'Side view', 'Top view', 'Mechanism' etc.
  9. Select the Image Type to match the channel image type.
  10. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save.

Note: if the images have been added after the item has been listed then the user will need to click on the Renew the list of images for a channel listing. button in the [ Channel Listings | Listing Details ] screen to update the images attached to the listing.

Add Images to Channel Listings

  1. Open a Web Configuration screen (show me how).
  2. Open the [ Stock | Channel Listings | Listing ] tab.
  3. Find the listing for the item you wish to add images to and double-click on it to load the [ Channel Listings | Listing Details ] screen.
  4. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  5. Expand the Images area by clicking on the band to the left of the images grid.
  6. Press F3 or click the NEW ITEM button has an icon that shows two sheets of paper (identified by having the top right corner folded down), arranged diagonally on the icon from top left to bottom right to add a new item.
  7. In the Add Image (URL) popup enter the URL.
  8. In the Image Name add the name of the image, for example 'Top view', 'View from side' etc.
  9. Add a number in the Ord column to define the order in which the images are displayed. The first image in the list is the main image used in the search list. Once the user has defined the order of the images they need to use the Sort ascending or descending button to display the images in the grid in the correct order.
  10. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save.
