How To: Add Manual SCS Variations to a Channel Listing

Training must be completed before using Channel Listings.

Manual SCS items can be created in eBay if the category supports SCS / Variation items. If the items are going to be listed in two categories both must support variations.
Note: if a category does not support variations then the stock items will need to be listed as individual items, i.e. not using variations.

  1. Open a Web Configuration screen (show me how).
  2. Open the [ Channel Listings | Listings ] screen.
  3. Double-click on the parent[1] stock item to load it into the [ Channel Listings | Listing Details ] screen.
  4. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  5. Click on the Manual Variation button in Channel Listings Details screen button.
  6. Enter the name of the variation in the Variation field, for example Colour, Size etc, this is how it will be displayed on the listing.
  7. Click on the the NEW ITEM button has an icon that shows two sheets of paper (identified by having the top right corner folded down), arranged diagonally on the icon from top left to bottom right button above the SCS/Variations grid.
  8. In the Stock Lookup find and load the first variant.
  9. In the grid:
    1. Change the price in the Price field (Optional).
    2. Update the quantity being listed in the Qty Listed field (Optional).
    3. Add the name of the variation in the Manual Variation Value field, for example Red, Blue (Required).
    4. If you wish the child items to be displayed in a specific order, update the Sort Order column (Optional).
  10. Repeat to add additional variants.
  11. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save if not making other changes.
