How To: Block Update Customer User Defined Attributes (UDAs)

User Defined Attributes (UDAs) allow you to define additional data fields in the Khaos Control database either for customers or stock items. For more information, see User Defined Attributes (UDAs). These can either be added individually to the customer's record; see How To: Add UDAs to customer records, or to groups of records as follows:

  1. Open a Customer screen (show me how).
  2. Filter for and then green-select the customers you wish to add the UDAs to.
  3. Right click and from the context menu select Update Selected Companys' UDA.
  4. Focus on the UDA option you wish to set.
  5. On the right selection or enter the value for the UDA.
  6. Click on OK.

Notes

  • The UDA information for a customer can be viewed in the the customer's [ Detail | CRM | Free Text Notes ] tab.
  • You can prompt the user to select a Company UDA at the time of customer creation using the prompt checkbox when setting up the UDA in the User Defined Attributes (UDA) dialog.
  • Sales Summary can be used to filter customers and item sales based on Customer UDA values.
