How To: Check a Credit Card Payment status when rejected by the Credit Card Payment Provider

After creating a new the blue So menu button is used to open a new Sales Order Sales Order (How To: Create a New Sales Order) or making a change to an existing the blue So menu button is used to open a new Sales Order Sales Order (How To: View and Edit Existing Sales Orders)

You should:

  1. Go to [ Sales Order | Details | Payment ] tab.
  2. Look at the upper Payment Grid.
  3. Note the colour; if it is red (any shade) then an problem has occurred. Select the Colour Legend option from the Context Menu to get more information.
  4. Focus on the red payment line and right click.
    1. Select the View Payment Details option from the Context Menu.
    2. Click the View Logs BtnViewLog.jpg button.
      The rejection or decline message will be displayed in the Transaction Desc, Short Ref and Long Ref fields
  5. Open and login to your Credit Card Payment provider software or web page.
  6. Search for the payment that has been flagged. Use the following information to find the payment:
    • Payment Amount
    • Payment Code
    • Card Holder's Name
    • Transaction ID
  7. Once you have found the payment, check whether it has been taken and what caused the issue (eg address does not match).
  8. If the payment HAS been taken:
    1. Return to Khaos Control.
    2. Click the BtnAcceptAuth.jpg button to mark the payment as accepted.
    3. Continue as normal with the order.
  9. If the payment has NOT been taken:
    1. Return to Khaos Control.
    2. Click the BtnRejectAuth.jpg button to mark the payment as NOT been accepted.
    3. Contact the customer and seek an alternative payment method.
