How To: Correct a Purchase Invoice line that is using the wrong VAT rate

  1. Open a Purchase Invoice screen (show me how).
  2. Use the filters to find the required invoice.
  3. Double-click on the invoice.
  4. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  5. In the grid:
    1. Double-click on the row that has the incorrect VAT rate showing; this will open the item in the stock screen.
    2. Confirm that the stock item is set to the correct VAT rate and that the buy price (or supplier purchase cost, where applicable) is correct.
    3. Close the stock screen to return to the Purchase Invoice screen.
    4. Press F3 or click the NEW ITEM button has an icon that shows two sheets of paper (identified by having the top right corner folded down), arranged diagonally on the icon from top left to bottom right to add a new item.
    5. Add the corrected item to the Purchase Invoice.
    6. Select the incorrect row, which is now redundant; and
    7. Press Ctrl+Del or click the DELETE ITEM button has an icon that shows a sheet of paper with a red minus in the bottom left. to delete the incorrect row from the Purchase Invoice
  6. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save the invoice.

At this point, you may wish to match the totals shown on this Purchase Invoices with those on the Purchase Invoice sent by your Suppliers

Note: This cannot be used if the Stock Received Not Invoiced option is ticked.
