How To: Create an EC Sales List

The EC Sales List is no longer relevant to UK companies post Brexit. However, it is still used by some customers in certain scenarios.

Before generating an EC Sales List, the customer must have the following setup for Sales and Credits to be recorded on an EC Sales List report:

  1. Open an Accounts screen (show me how).
  2. Open the [ Tax (VAT) | EC Sales List ] screen.
  3. Select the radio button for the Period you wish to report on;
    Quarterly
    1. Enter the Year,
    2. then select the Quarter you wish to report on.
  4. Or
    Monthly
    1. Enter the Year,
    2. then enter the Month you wish to report on.
  5. Or
    Date Range
    1. Select the date range you wish to report on.
  6. Or
    Past VAT Return
    1. Select the past return from Year dropdown box.
  7. Check the Include Allocation Transactions (UT Prefix) if Under/Over payment transactions are to be included in the report.
  8. Click the Go Button to populate the report.
  9. Make sure the following details are populated before exporting the report:
    1. Vat Number (Required)
    2. Contact Name (Optional)
    3. Branch (Optional)
  10. Click the Export to CSV button button to export and save the report.

Notes:

  1. Custom date ranges are not valid for online/electronic submission.
  2. Each result return will be per customer and will include all sales and credits and will display the net (combined) sales. If the figure is negative then more credits than sales were processed for that customer during the selected period.
  3. The figures may not match the tax register exactly because:
    1. Private individuals are excluded.
    2. Free items may be included depending on the system configuration.
