How To: Create and Process an EPOS Order with multiple payment types

  1. Open the EPOS screen screen (show me how).
  2. Log into the EPOS Terminal.
  3. Click on the EPOS customer button button to select a customer (Optional).
  4. Add stock by:
    1. Entering or scanning a stock items into the Item Transactions Bar Code Box:
      1. Stock Code
      2. Other Ref
      3. Barcode
        Note: if the barcode does not exist in Khaos Control then it will not be recognised.
    2. Drilling down using the Stock Type buttons.
    3. Clicking on the EPOS stock list button button to open the stock lookup dialog.
  5. Press BtnEPOSEnterX.jpg to add the item to the order if not add via a barcode reader.
    Note: if the item added to the grid is not in stock then it will have a red background.
  6. Repeat until all stock has been added.
  7. Click on the EPOS payment button button in the Key Pad section.
    1. Choose your payment type from the Key Pad section.
    2. Enter the first part payment amount in the Payment Transaction box.
    3. Press EPOS enter button. to process the first payment.
  8. Click on the EPOS payment button. button in the Key Pad section.
    1. Choose your payment type from the Key Pad section.
    2. Enter the second part payment amount in the Payment Transaction box.
    3. Press EPOS enter button. to process the second payment.
      or
    4. After choosing the second payment type from the Key Pad section, press EPOS enter button. to process the sale, the system automatically calculates the remaining due amount. Only process in this way if the final payment is the exact remaining amount.
  9. Dispense change as required, the amount due will be displayed after the order total.
