How To: Move Stock Between Batches

Warehouse Batches is not enabled by default.

Note: there will be additional costs involved if this option is enabled.

If you have entered stock into the system with the incorrect batch and need to move it, you can do this as follows:

Create the batch codes for the item

  1. Open the [ Stock | Detail | Batches ] tab.
  2. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  3. Click the button Create new batch button button.
  4. Enter the Batch Code.
  5. Click in the 'Expires' column.
  6. Press F4 and select a date three months from today.
  7. Repeat as required.
  8. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save the screen

Linking the batch items to warehouse locations

  1. Open a Warehouse screen (show me how).
  2. Open the desired Warehouse by double clicking on it.
    Note: This is not the Quarantine warehouse but the warehouse where the items are located.
  3. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  4. Focus on the stock location in the upper grid.
  5. In the lower grid click on the Add item multi stock location button button.
  6. For an item that has a batch the Batch Code column will be red. Focus on the red cell and Enter.
  7. In the Batch Selection dialog either:
    1. Select a batch from those in the grid, or
    2. Click on the the NEW ITEM button has an icon that shows two sheets of paper (identified by having the top right corner folded down), arranged diagonally on the icon from top left to bottom right button to add a new batch.
    3. Click OK to close the dialog and add the batch.
  8. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save.

Moving the stock between batch codes

  1. Open a Stock screen (show me how).
  2. Load the stock item you wish to change the batch code(s) for.
  3. Go to the [ Adjustments | Adjust (Warehouse) ] screen.
  4. Click on the Warehouse add current stock item button button. The stock item will be displayed along with each location it is able to be stored in.
  5. Change the Adjust To to amend the number of items in a batch and location.
  6. Repeat for each batch and location to update the quantities of items per batch.
  7. Enter the Note/Reason or select the reason from the drop-down list if setup.
  8. Click on the Warehouse save adjustment button button to save the adjustment.
