How To: Set a Default Currency for each Country

When new customers are created and their country is selected, the currency will default to the currency set against the country in [ System Data | International | Countries ]. To define a default currency for a country:

  1. Open a System Data screen (show me how).
  2. Open the [ International | Countries ] screen.
  3. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  4. Focus in the Currency column for the country you wish to change.
Note: green-selecting groups of countries and using the Apply Value Range option from the context menu will update the currency to those items.
  5. Press the F4 key.
Note: currencies must be set up in [ System Data | International | Currencies ].
  6. Select the currency from the list.
  7. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save.

Note: If the Currency required differs from the one set up in System Data, the user can choose a different currency from the dropdown within the [ Customer | Detail | Financial ] screen. This doesn't happen in any other screen in Khaos Control; for example, in [ Customer | Detail | Financial ] screen, if the country is changed, the currency field remains the same no matter which country is selected.
