How To: Setup CRM Contact Types

CRM Contact Types are used when adding entries to the Communication Log in the following areas:

  1. Open a System Data screen (show me how).
  2. Open the [ Comm Log Types ] screen.
  3. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  4. Press F3 or click the NEW ITEM button has an icon that shows two sheets of paper (identified by having the top right corner folded down), arranged diagonally on the icon from top left to bottom right to add a new item.
  5. Enter the description for the contact type in the CRM Contact Type, for example call, appointment, catalogue request etc.
  6. Enter a number in the Display Order. This is used to define the order in which the list of Comm Log Types is displayed in the CRM Type dropdown in the Comm Log Entry dialog.
  7. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save.
