How To: Setup a Warning when a Purchase Order is below a Value for Delivery Costs

  1. Open a Supplier screen (show me how).
  2. Find the supplier and load their [ Financial ] tab.
  3. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  4. Enter the monetary value in the Carriage Free Amount that the purchase order will be checked against.
  5. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save.

Notes:

  • The amount is Net (i.e. excluding Delivery and VAT).
  • If the order value is less a warning will appear but the user can acknowledge the warning and still save the purchase order.
  • If the Carriage Free Amount is set to 0.00 then the warning will not prompt.
  • Creating a purchase order from the [ Stock | Reordering ] screen will allow purchase orders to be created for less than the Carriage Free Amount.
  • The Delivery Cost should be £00.00 as this field is included in the Order Total, which triggers when the warning.
