How To: Setup eBay Channel Type Values


Channel Listings is not enabled by default.

Channel Listings is an Advanced User feature.

When setting up stock items to sell on eBay users are only able to configure value sets which define options such as shipping options, your returns policy and the Buy Now price. The Value Set options available are defined by eBay. By default your system will be setup with some Value Sets ready to configure, further value sets can be added and configured as required.

  1. Open a Web Configuration screen (show me how).
  2. Open the [ Channel Listings | Listings ] screen.
  3. Double-click on the eBay listing to load the [ Channel Listings | Listing Details ] screen.
  4. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  5. Click on the the NEW ITEM button has an icon that shows two sheets of paper (identified by having the top right corner folded down), arranged diagonally on the icon from top left to bottom right button above the Value Set grid.
  6. Select the Value Set from the options in the drop down list, for a list of the available options and what they mean see Channel Type Values for eBay.
  7. Click on OK.
  8. Focus on the Value Set option you wish to configure in the Value Set grid on the left.
  9. Double-click on the first option in the options grid to the right that you wish to configure.
  10. In the popup there are different options available and you can either select, tick a checkbox or enter a value as appropriate.
  11. Click on OK.
  12. Continue updating your value sets as required.
  13. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save if not making any other changes.

The Value Sets that are setup apply to the current listing, they can be saved as a template, see How To: Save the eBay Channel Type Values as a Template and then applied to:
