How To: View Listing Errors

Training must be completed before using Channel Listings.

Channel Listings is an Advanced User feature.

When an item is being listed, see How To: List Items on eBay, there maybe problems with the attempt so the line will turn red and the status will change to Error Verify or Error Listed. The user can access the following dialog boxes to help determine the cause of the error(s).

Note: in all the dialog boxes normal grid functions are available so users can sort column headings, green select rows by reference Ctrl+ Shift+R, Print Grid and Send to Notepad.

Channel Listings Error Log

The Channel Listings Error Log contains a list of the errors associated with the listing(s). It can be used to help work out what is causing the problem as the filters allow the user to display errors, warnings and important information.

  1. Open a Web Configuration screen (show me how).
  2. Open the [ Channel Listings | Listings ] screen.
  3. Focus on the single item or green-select multiple listings with errors.
  4. Right click and from the context menu select Show Error Log for Selected.
  5. In the Channel Listings Error Log dialog use the filters to narrow down the date, time and type of the error(s).

Note: the Channel Listings Debug Log also accessed form the context menu displays the same dialog as the Error Log.

Channel Listings Audit Tracking

The user can see the status changes and the action that resulted in the change for the listings in the Channel Listings Audit Tracking dialog.

  1. Open a Web Configuration screen (show me how).
  2. Open the [ Channel Listings | Listings ] screen.
  3. Focus on the single item or green-select multiple listings with errors.
  4. Right click and from the context menu select Show Tracking (Audit) for Selected.
