Europe tab in System Values

The options on this screen are to do with the changes for Brexit and IOSS, please see Brexit and EU VAT Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) for more detailed information.

  • Brexit Features Active (default=ticked): This options enables the new features added into the system once beyond the transition date of 01/01/2021, for example the new Purchase Invoice functionality.
  • EU Test Mode (default=unticked): When the above option is active before the transition date, this options will enable brexit behaviour for testing.
  • Selling from Northern Ireland to EU (default=unticked): When Brexit is active, ALL Sales from the system to an EC Company will be treated the old EU way and VAT will be applied. Only activate this if you are shipping ALL goods from Northern Ireland and want EC Tax rules to apply.
  • Importing from EU to Northern Ireland (default=unticked): When Brexit is active, Purchase Invoices into the system from an EC Company will be treated the old EU way and EC VAT will be applied. Only activate this if you are receiving goods into Northern Ireland on all Purchases Invoices.
  • Print Customs Invoice for Northern Ireland postcodes (default=ticked): When ticked, printing invoices from Sales Invoice Manager will print a customs invoice when shipping to Northern Ireland.
  • Advanced EU VAT options (default=ticked): enables the IOSS for those shipping to EU countries. For information about IOSS please see EU VAT Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS).
    Note: Please do not change these options without consulting with a Tax Expert.
    • EU VAT Threshold (default=€150): the IOSS VAT threshold.
    • B2C VAT over EU threshold (default=ticked): When active and system is VAT registered in the EU member state, VAT will be charged on applicable (B2C) orders over €150.
    • B2B VAT over EU threshold (default=ticked): When active and system is VAT registered in the EU member state, VAT will be charged on applicable (B2B) orders over €150.
