How To: Copy an SCS Profile

Copying SCS Profiles is an Advanced User feature.

It is possible to create an SCS profile from an existing SCS parent item. This is useful when an operation is setting up a range of SCS items that have the same, or similar Elements.

1. Open a Stock screen (show me how).
2. Create the NEW parent stock item that the 'SCS' template is to be defined against, with the 'Stock Controlled' tick box UNTICKED (see How To: Create a New Stock Item).
3. Load the parent SCS item the profile is to be copied from.
4. Click the button.
5. This opens the Size, Colour, Style dialog box.
6. Click the button.
7. Search for the NEW SCS parent item you created in step 2 and select it.
8. Click 'Yes' to confirm the copy of the profile to the new SCS parent item.
9. Click 'OK' to acknowledge the copy of the SCS setup. The Size, Colour, Style dialog will now be for the NEW SCS parent item.
10. Make any amendments to child elements and follow the How To sub section Generate the Child Stock Items.
11. Click 'OK' and check that the SCS profile that has just been created.
