How To: Delete SCS Child Stock Items
Deleting SCS Child Stock Items is an Advanced User feature. |
It is possible to delete all of the child stock items for an SCS parent in one action or to delete child SCS items entered in error but keeping others.
Note: deleting SCS child stock items can only be used to correct problems found immediately after generating the child stock items; it is not possible to delete a stock item once it has been used in Khaos Control (e.g. it is linked to a sales order).

Deleting all Child SCS Stock Items
- Open a Stock screen .
- Load the required parent stock item.
- Click the button.
- This loads the Size, Colour, Style dialog.
- Click the button.
- Click the button.
- In the first warning popup 'Are you sure you want to delete stock items and links based on this template?', click on Yes.
- The second warning popup Are you sure you wish to remove the stock items created by this SCS stock item? click on Yes to delete the child items entirely.
- The information popup will inform the user if the operation has been successful and the items deleted.
Deleting Some Child SCS Stock Items
When creating SCS stock items you create them in the following order:
- The Parent
- Element 1 (the main element)
- Element 2 (optional)
- Element 3 (optional)
- Element 4 (optional)
Deleting the child items must be carried out in reverse order:
- Element 4 (optional)
- Element 3 (optional)
- Element 2 (optional)
- Element 1 (the main element)
Note: child items can only be deleted if they have not yet been used on a sales order, a warning message will be displayed asking the user if they are sure they wish to delete the child item. If you wish to delete SCS child items that have been used on a sales order then you need to discontinue them. Deleting the SCS child stock items is carried out from the 'Size, Colour, Style' dialog box as per the following procedure:
Open the SCS Dialog
- Click (Stock) on the Command Window.
- Load the required parent stock item.
- Click .
- This loads the Size, Colour, Style dialog.
Deleting Element 4 items
Element 4 items (if used) that are attached to items in Element 3. To do this:
- Click on the first item in Element 3 you want to delete.
- Focus on a child items you wish to delete in Element 4 that are attached to the item in Element 3.
- Click on the Delete Item button below the Element 4 grid.
- Repeat this process until all the child item that you wish to delete are deleted
- Click on the next item in Element 3 you want to delete.
- Focus on a child items you wish to delete in Element 4 that are attached to the item in Element 3.
- Click on the Delete Item button below the Element 4 grid.
- Repeat this process until all the child item that you wish to delete are deleted
- Carry on down the items in Element 3 deleting the associated items in Element 4 as required.
Deleting Element 3 items
Element 3 items (if used) that are attached to items in Element 2. To do this:
- Click on the first item in Element 2 you want to delete.
- Focus on a child items you wish to delete in Element 3 that are attached to the item in Element 2.
Note: the Element 3 item must not be attached to an Element 4 item. - Click on the Delete Item button below the Element 3 grid.
- Repeat this process until all the child item that you wish to delete are deleted
- Focus on a child items you wish to delete in Element 3 that are attached to the item in Element 2.
- Click on the next item in Element 2 you want to delete.
Note: the Element 3 item must not be attached to an Element 4 item.- Focus on a child items you wish to delete in Element 3 that are attached to the item in Element 2.
- Click on the Delete Item button below the Element 3 grid.
- Repeat this process until all the child item that you wish to delete are deleted
- Carry on down the items in Element 2 deleting the associated items in Element 3 as required but making sure they are not attached to any Element 4 items.
Deleting Element 2 items
Element 2 items (if used) that are attached to items in Element 1. To do this:
- Click on the first item in Element 1 you want to delete.
- Focus on a child items you wish to delete in Element 2 that are attached to the item in Element 1.
Note: the Element 3 item must not be attached to an Element 3 item. - Click on the Delete Item button below the Element 2 grid.
- Repeat this process until all the child item that you wish to delete are deleted
- Focus on a child items you wish to delete in Element 2 that are attached to the item in Element 1.
- Click on the next item in Element 1 you want to delete..
Note: the Element 2 item must not be attached to an Element 3 item.- Focus on a child items you wish to delete in Element 3 that are attached to the item in Element 2.
- Click on the Delete Item button below the Element 2 grid.
- Repeat this process until all the child item that you wish to delete are deleted
- Carry on down the items in Element 1 deleting the associated items in Element 2 as required but making sure they are not attached to any Element 3 items.
Deleting Element 1 items
- Click on each item in Element 1 and if it is not attached to any item in Element 2 click on the Delete Item button below the Element 1 grid.
Deleting the SCS Profile
