Sales Summary - Management Reports Monthly Sales Tab

The Monthly Sales tab displays stock performance for a year according to the filters selected, for an example of its use see Using Sales Summary to Report on Poor Selling Items.
Notes:

  1. This tab displays information for Sales Orders, not invoices.
  2. The user must press the BtnGoX.jpg button to refresh the grid.

Filters

  • Start from Order Date drop down filter: look at order starting from the specified date.
  • Show Value (not Qty) checkbox: the Sales, Credits and LostDemand columns display either the quantity (default) or the gross value i.e. the sell price including VAT.
  • Hide Discontinued: if the item is marked as Discontinued on the [ Stock | Detail | Options ] screen.
  • Publish to Web checkbox (Red Traffic Light Filter /Green Traffic Light Filter traffic light filter): if the item is marked as Publish to Web on the [ Stock | Detail | Options ] screen.
  • Publish to Catalogue checkbox (Red Traffic Light Filter /Green Traffic Light Filter traffic light filter): if the item is marked as Publish to Catalogue on the [ Stock | Detail | Options ] screen.
  • Stock Type (Red Traffic Light Filter /Green Traffic Light Filter traffic light filter): filter by level 2 stock type.
  • Supplier URN (Red Traffic Light Filter /Green Traffic Light Filter traffic light filter): filter by supplier using the the green opening folder icon is normally linked to the opening of a dialog box that allows the user to browse and select a value or range of values to load the supplier lookup.

Notes:

  1. The information displayed is for sales orders not invoices.
  2. Stock items with a red background have been marked as Run to Zero on their [ Stock | Detail | Options ] screen.
  3. The Order and Available levels are for the current site.
  4. The sales, credit and lost demand amounts are across all sites.
  5. There can be no guarantee that the supplier listed is actually the supplier that the items were purchased from originally.
  6. The Value figure is calculated by multiplying the Sell Price by the Qty. This is affected when selling packs as the child items are counted twice, once as part of the pack and then in their own right. Green-selecting non-pack lines in these cases would make the information more pertinent.

The user must have permission to be able to configure grids in [ System Data | Users | User Permissions ].

Note: If the Total cells at the bottom of the grid have a red background, for example total too big at the bottom of the grid, then the contents of the cell are too big for the cell width. To see the whole cell contents widen the column either by clicking and dragging the column headings or using the Resize Column option in the Grid Menu.
