How To: View a previous reconciliation

Introduction

Khaos Control allows you to view the details of previously completed bank reconciliations. This can be useful when:
  • Reviewing historic reconciliations.
  • Checking which transactions were included in a reconciliation.
  • Investigating differences between reconciled periods.
  • Auditing completed bank account activity.
The reconciliation filter displays the reconciliation date, statement number(s), reconciled balance and any notes that were entered during the reconciliation process.

View a Previous Reconciliation

  1. Open an Accounts screen (show me how).
  2. Select the required bank account from the Bank Account drop-down list.
  3. From the Reconciled drop-down list, select the reconciliation you want to review.
    The list displays:
    • Reconciliation date
    • Statement number(s)
    • Reconciled balance
    • Any reconciliation notes
  4. Click the reconciliation filter traffic light so that it turns green, indicating that the filter is active.
  5. Click Go.
  6. The transactions included in the selected reconciliation will be displayed in the grid.

Result

You can now review all transactions that were included in the selected reconciliation, along with the associated reconciliation details.

Tips

  • Check reconciliation notes for additional context if they were entered when the reconciliation was completed.
  • Compare reconciliations across different periods when investigating banking discrepancies.
  • Use this view before undoing a reconciliation to confirm you have selected the correct reconciliation period.
