System Data Agents

Introduction
Agents can be linked to customers or individual sales orders and can earn commission on sales. Commission percentages are configured against stock types in System Data | Stock Types | Level 2: Types.
Agents are commonly used where sales are generated by external representatives, referral partners or commissioned sales staff.

Agent Reporting
Agent performance and sales can be analysed using the following Sales Summary reports:
- Sales Summary | Sale Source | Agents (Type)
- Sales Summary | Sale Source | Agents (Detail)
Important Notes
Agent precedenceIf an agent is assigned directly to a sales order, that agent takes precedence over any agent assigned to the customer record.
This allows individual orders to be attributed to a different agent where required.
Agents Grid
The Agents grid contains the following fields.
Agent Name
The name of the agent.
This description is displayed throughout Khaos Control wherever agents can be selected.
Hide
When enabled, the agent will no longer appear in standard Agent drop-down lists and filters throughout the system.
Hidden agents:
- Can still be viewed by right-clicking the drop-down and selecting Show All.
- Remain visible on historical documents and transactions.
- Continue to appear in reports that reference existing sales activity.
This option is useful when an agent is no longer active but their historical sales data needs to be retained.
The agent's email address.
This can be used as a reference contact address for the agent record.
Context Menu Options
Apply Value Range
Allows you to apply the same value to all selected rows within the active column.
Clear Selection
Removes the current selection from the grid.

Agents provide a flexible way of tracking sales generated by representatives, affiliates or commission-based sales teams. By assigning agents to customers or individual orders, you can accurately report on sales performance and calculate commission based on the rules configured within Khaos Control.
