System Data EPOS Price Reduction Reasons

Price Reduction Reasons are used within the Khaos Control EPOS System to record why a discount or price reduction has been applied to a sale.
When a user reduces the selling price of an item, for example by using a price correction or discount key, they must select a reason from a predefined list. These reasons can be configured and maintained from this screen.

Price Reduction Reasons may include:
  • Damaged
  • Faulty
  • Sale Item
  • Charity Discount
  • Goodwill
  • Staff Discount
  • Marketing
Note: The selected Price Reduction Reason is printed on the customer's receipt.

EPOS Price Reduction Reasons Grid

The grid contains the following fields:

Price Reduction Reason

Enter the name of the reason that users will select when applying a price reduction.
Note: The text entered here will be printed on the receipt.

Default

Select this option if you want the reason to be automatically chosen when a stock item's price is reduced.
Important:
  • Only one Price Reduction Reason can be set as the default.
  • All other reasons remain available for users to select from the drop-down list.

Context Menu Options

The following options are available from the grid's right-click context menu:

Apply Value Range

Apply Value Range allows you to enter a value and apply it to all currently selected rows within the active column.

Clear Selection

Removes the current selection from any highlighted rows within the grid.
