How To: Create a Keycode to Track Samples

  1. Create a new Sample using the Catalogue functionality.
  2. Open a Promotion screen (show me how).
  3. Open the [ Promotions | Keycode ] tab.
  4. Press Ctrl+N or click the New item icon is the button bar's NEW button .
  5. Enter the new Keycode Code. e.g. ST1
  6. Enter a Description. e.g. Sample Tracker 1
  7. From the Catalogue dropdown menu select the Sample you created in step 1.
  8. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save.
  9. Go to the [ Promotions | List ] - Catalogues tab.
  10. Find and open the Catalogue you created in step 1.
  11. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  12. From the Keycode dropdown menu select the Sample Tracking Keycode you created in steps 4-8.
  13. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save.

Once this has been completed then the user would utilise the Catalogue Request functionality to send samples to prospective customers. For additional Keycode parameters that can be configured, see Promotion screen's Keycodes tab.
