How To: Setup a Free Gift when an order value is between £50 and £160
Telesales Rules is an Advanced User feature. |
- WARNING: Please check that this works as you would like by testing it out in your Test system
This Telesale Rule will give 100% discount (i.e. free item) for all orders with a Gross Total between £50 and £160. The free item must be added manually to the sales order.
Notes:
- If the item, in this example RP6543, is added to the order and the Gross Total is not between £50 and £160 then the customer will be charged at the standard rate subject to any other applicable discounts.
- You could set up several price banded discounts with different items offered in the different bands, each would require their own Telesale Rule.
- In this example the item is free i.e. has 100% discount but it could be a reduced price by giving a different percentage discount.
- WARNING: The sales order gross total used to trigger this promotion does not include the delivery charge.
Example Scenario
In the example below:
if the customer:
- spends over £50 (gross); and
- spends under £160 (gross);
they can have:
- free Praline Chocolates (RP6543).
Note: there is no limit on the number of boxes of chocolates the customer can have for free! If you wanted to limit the offer to one box then tick the Discount Qty Limit checkbox.
