How To: Setup Supplier Feeds

Before you can use the supplier feeds, you will need to set them up. Once setup they can be sent manually or automatically. If you want this to import automatically, please email Support.


  1. Enter SF in the Command Window and Enter.
  2. Press Ctrl+N or click the New item icon is the button bar's NEW button . (This is found in the Menu Bar at the top of the screen).
  3. Click Yes in the popup to create a new supplier feed.
  4. In the Supplier lookup find the supplier you wish to create the feed for.
  5. Tick the Active checkbox.
  6. Set the file type as appropriate, TSV for tab separated format and CSV for comma separated files.
  7. Set the Feed Type:
    1. Local will take a file from on the local file system and import the data in this file.
      1. Set the Local File Path of where the file is located.
    2. FTP will download the supplier file from the FTP site and import data from this file. Set the following so the system knows where to fetch the file from:
      1. Host
      2. Directory
      3. Filename
      4. Username
      5. Password
  8. Add the column number in the import file for the following:
    1. Stock Code
    2. Quantity
    3. Supplier's Buy Price
    4. Lead Time
  9. Once a supplier feed has been configured a Batch file will need to be created and added to the task scheduler to be run as often as required for the customer.
