Stock Relationship Import Tool

Import RelationshipTool is not enabled by default.

Please email Development for more information.
Note: there will be additional costs involved if this option is enabled.

1. Overview

It is possible to import Build or Move With relationships into the system using the Stock Relationship Import Tool.

Import TSV files must have headings in the following format:
PARENT_CODE, CHILD_CODE, QTY, VALUE_PROP
2. Configuration

A hidden option will be enabled.

An updated application and changelog will be provided with this development. No further configuration is required.

3. Usage

After applying the above Configuration, typical steps for usage would include:

1. Go to the Stock Screen.
2. Open the Other Actions Menu.
3. Click Import |Stock Build Relationships (TSV) or Import | Move With Relationships (TSV).
4. Open the file you wish to import.
A dialog will popup to display whether the import was successful or not.
This dialog will specify why any failures occurred, and for which items.

Notes:
  1. Adding values to the VALUE_PROP column is not mandatory and adding values under this header can be skipped. However, the header must still exist in the import file. If there is no VALUE_PROP value specified against an item in the import, then Khaos Control will automatically calculate the Value Prop % in the Stock | Relationship screen.
  2. You can update a relationship that already exists with an import – it will overwrite the existing relationship in Khaos Control.
  3. If a parent stock item on the import file does not exist, it will not import.
  4. If a child stock item on the import file does not exist, it will not import any of the children for that stock item.
  5. If there is no quantity for a child item on the import file, it will not import any of the children for that stock item.
  6. You are not able to import a build relationship onto a stock item that already has a move with relationship, and vice versa.
