How to Set Up Sample Tracking Using Keycodes
Sample tracking allows you to monitor the distribution of product samples sent to prospective customers. By linking a Catalogue to a Keycode, you can use the Catalogue Request functionality to record and track sample activity more effectively.
Before You Begin
You will need to create a sample Catalogue before setting up the Keycode.

Create a Sample Tracking Keycode
- Create a new Sample Catalogue using the Catalogue functionality.
- Open a Promotion screen (show me how).
- Open the [ Promotions | Keycode ] tab.
- Press Ctrl + N or click the New button.
- Enter a Keycode in the Code field.Example:
ST1 - Enter a description in the Description field.Example: Sample Tracker 1
- From the Catalogue drop-down list, select the Sample Catalogue created earlier.
- Press Ctrl + S or click the Save button.
Link the Keycode to the Catalogue
- Open the [ Promotions | List ] - Catalogues tab.
- Locate and open the Sample Catalogue created earlier.
- Press Alt + E or click the Edit button to enter edit mode.
- From the Keycode drop-down list, select the Sample Tracking Keycode created in the previous section.
- Press Ctrl + S or click the Save button.
Sending and Tracking Samples
Once the Catalogue and Keycode have been linked, you can use the Catalogue Request functionality to send samples to prospective customers and track their activity.Additional Information
