How To: Assign Stock from a Different Site

It is possible to assign stock from a different site to a sales order either in the order itself or from the [ Back Orders (Stock Assignment) ] screen. A password can be setup so that when the stock is assigned a password is required.

Note: if the stock assignment site is subsequently changed for the whole order, then any site assignments made for individual lines will not be affected.

Sales Order screen

  1. Open a Sales Order screen (show me how).
  2. Find and load the sales order.
  3. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  4. Focus on the stock item and right click.
  5. Select stock Assignment then Site Assignments from the context menu.
  6. Enter the password (Optional), see below.
  7. In the Stock/Site Selection popup focus on the site and press F4.
  8. Select the site the stock items are coming from and click on OK.

The stock will be allocated to the sales order from the nominated site.

Back Order (Stock Assignment) screen

  1. Open the [ Back Orders (Stock Assignment) ] screen.
  2. Load the order (or stock items) that you wish to assign from a different site.
  3. Green-select the line(s) for the items you wish to assign from another site
  4. Click on the BtnSIMBOAssignSk.jpg button.
  5. Enter the password (Optional), see below.
  6. Select the site the stock items are coming from the Select Site popup and click on OK.
  7. In the Confirm popup:
    1. Press Yes to allocate all the stock required for the order from the site or
    2. No to specify the quantity of stock to allocate to the order and enter the quantity in the next popup.

The stock will be allocated to the sales order from the nominated site.

Stock Site Assignment Password

To setup the password:

  1. Open a System Data screen (show me how).
  2. Open the [ Admin Passwords ] screen.
  3. Click into the 'Password' column for the 'Assign Stock from different site' line.
  4. Enter the required password.
  5. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save.
