How To: Buy 3 of the same item and receive a % discount on them

Telesales is an Advanced User feature.

If a customer buys 3 or more items from a Level 2 Stock Type, they can get reduced price items from that stock type and/or from another specified Level 2 Stock Type.

Notes:

• Only one of an item is entitled to the discount, see the example below.
• Items not in the specified Level 2 Stock Types are excluded from the offer.
• In this example the items have a 5% discount but the discount percentage could be less.

Example Scenario

In the example below if the customer:

1. buys three or more items from the Sun Care stock type;

they can have:

1. 5% discount on one item only from the Sun Care stock type; and
2. 5% discount on one item only from the Skin Care stock type.

Action Details and Group Comparison Scope

Make the rule active, set the 5% discount rate and set the Discount Quantity Limit

Set the Group Comparison Scope to Specific Stock Codes or Types and Click on the Set button

Set the Stock Type the customer has to purchase from in order to benefit from the promotion

Condition Detail

If ALL of these conditions are TRUE

The Quantity sold is equal to or greater than 3

AND If ANY of the following conditions are TRUE

The First Stock Type Level 2

The Second Stock Type Level 2

Result

• Three or more items from the trigger Level 2 Stock Type have been added with a 5% discount. Note that if two items or more (in this case three) have been added then the discount only applies to one.
• The stock items from the second Level 2 Stock Type that can have reduced price items. Note that if two items or more (in this case three) have been added then the discount only applies to one.
• Items from other stock types are exempt from the offer.
