How To: Create a Basic Keycode

1. Open a Promotion screen (show me how).
2. Open the [ Key Code ] tab.
3. Press Ctrl+N or click .
4. Enter the new Keycode Code.
5. Enter a Description.
6. Press Ctrl+S or click to save.

The above two fields (i.e. keycode code and description) are the minimum amount of information required to set up a Keycode. For additional Keycode parameters that can be configured, see Promotion screen's Keycodes tab.

Note: once a Keycode has been used, it cannot be deleted, but should be deactivated by adjusting the expiry date. The code can then be prefixed with a 'Z' so it appears at the bottom of the Keycode list.
