Keycodes

Keycodes, also known as Campaign Codes and/or Marketing Codes, are at the heart of all marketing campaigns run in Khaos Control. They affect a number of different types of promotion in Khaos Control, for example Catalogues, BOGOFs and Telesales Prompts which can be linked to a Keycode. The advantage of using a keycode is that they enable accurate and powerful analysis of promotional campaigns and, as a result, are vital to maximising the benefit of the Sales Analysis functionality in Khaos Control.

Keycodes can also be used to generate unique discount codes that customers can potentially use only once.

All current Keycodes are displayed in the [ Promotion | List ] screen when the screen is first displayed, the Keycode radio button at the bottom is selected and the the open folder button has an icon that shows a yellow open folder pressed.

New Keycodes can be created from this screen or from the [ Promotion | Keycode ] screen.

Defining catalogues in the system allows for catalogue prices to be used on sales orders automatically, without you having to remember that there is a special price for a particular stock item in a particular catalogue.

Catalogues are attached to Keycodes which in turn are attached to sales orders. When a particular Keycode is used on a sales order, the system knows to use the sale price for the stock item from the catalogue definition.
