Promotion Product Bars/Suggested Tab

For the Other Action Menu options (press F9 or the Other Actions Menu on the Button Bar) see Promotion Other Actions Menu.

This screen can be used to:

  • Allow users to block certain customers/groups of customers from buying certain products or groups of products.
  • Suggest certain products for different customers/groups of customers.

Notes:

  1. Changing suggestions or bars will not affect any sales order screens that are already open (they need to be closed and re-opened).
  2. Barred products will not be removed from any existing sales orders.
  3. Stock that has been barred will not appear in the Stock Lookup screen when creating a sales order for the customer the bar relates to. The Suggested products flag will appear in the Stock LookUp screen if a customer has suggested products in either the company tab, or if there are suggested products in the classification tab for the company classification they belong to.

The Product Bars/Suggested screen consists of two sub-tabs:

  • Classification
  • Company

Both the Classification and Company sub-tabs have the same grid layouts.

Classification sub-tab

The classification tab allows products to be set up against groups of customers, whereas the company tab allows user to set up products against individual customers.

  • Company Classification: drop down list of company classifications.
Note: the Company Classification must be selected before adding or updating the product bar/suggested information.
  • Copy Lists: allows the user to copy a product profile from one company classification to another.

Company sub-tab

The company tab allows user to set up products against individual customers.

  • Company: the open folder icon allows the user to add a customer.
Note: the customer (Company) must be selected before adding or updating the product bar/suggested information.
  • Copy Lists: allows the user to copy a product profile from one company to another.

Product Bars/Suggested Grids

Both the Classification and Company sub-tabs have the same three grid layouts as follows:

Note: the checkbox to the left of the grids indicates which of the grids is active and can have stock items or types added to them.
