Courier Options Dialog - InterSoft Intelligent Shipper
The Courier Options dialog allows the user to configure attributes for different couriers, the options will be different for each courier. You can copy the details from an existing courier to another similar one.
To load the Courier Options dialog, open [ System Data | Couriers ]
screen, focus on the courier, right-click and select Configure from the context menu. For each option there is an explanation about what is does.
Notes
Nominal Weights can only be used on Boxes (at present). Nominal weights should be in base Khaos Control weight and will be modified by the weight scaling. The system will use:
- Actual Weight
- The consignment weight (items postage or average weight.)
- Nominal Weight

Shipper Country Code | Two character country code for your company (likely GB). | |
Shipper PostCode | Postcode for your company premises. | |
Shipper Contact | Contact name for your company. | |
Shipper Phone | Phone number for your company. | |
Shipper VAT number | VAT number for your company. | |
Shipper Email | Email address for your company. | |
Service Code | Service Code to send to Intelligent Shipper. | |
Posting Location | Royal Mail posting location to send to Intelligent Shipper. | |
Service Level | Royal Mail service format code to send to Intelligent Shipper. | |
Raw Dump Request | Enable request dumping for debugging purposes. | |
Raw Dump Folder | Folder to save request dump to. | |
Parcel Description | Description printed on the label to denote to customs what the package contains. | |
Intelligent Shipper Endpoint | Endpoint provided by InterSoft to send requests to. | |
Nominal Value | This will be used if the consignment evaluates a zero value item line so that InterSoft does not reject the item line when processing the consignment. | |
Default Phone Number | This will be used where the customer record on the consignment does not have its own telephone number value. InterSoft reject orders where the telephone number is blank but will accept it set as '0'. However, we will give the customer the ability to set their own default. | |
Weight Scale | The weight against your shipments will be multiplied by this scaling factor before sending to the courier. For example, if you store weight in grams, multiply by 0.001 to convert to KG. | |
Nominal Weight | If this value is set, when your shipment has no weight set against it, then this nominal weight will be used instead. Use if your courier classifies parcel as thought they all have an agreed weight. Please use the system weight used throughout Khaos Control.This is then scaled by the weight Scale.Note that it can only be used when packing boxes. | |
Dimension scale | The dimensions against your shipments will be multiplied by this scaling factor before sending to the courier. For example, if you store dimensions in meters, multiple by 100 to covert to cm. | |
Printer Name | Printer to use for this courier. Note that if per-user courier printing is enabled, a user's printer name will be used instead, see Allow Printing by User. | |
Service Enhancements | This option allows a comma-separated list of service enhancements to be applied to the courier service, e.g: 1,4,24. Please contact Royal Mail to find out which enhancements may be applied to which services. (Only from version 8.180) |
