Docking and Undocking Screens (Window Popout)
Table Of Contents
Khaos Control supports both docked and undocked screens, making it ideal for users working with multiple monitors.
Undocking a screen allows you to move it outside the main Khaos Control window and position it wherever it is most convenient. This can improve productivity when working across several areas of the system at the same time.

Benefits of Undocked Screens
Undocked screens can be useful when you need to:
- View customer records while processing orders.
- Compare information across multiple screens.
- Work across two or more monitors.
- Keep frequently used screens visible at all times.
Additional Information
No Limit on Undocked Screens
There is no limit to the number of screens that can be undocked at the same time. You can arrange multiple windows across one or more monitors to suit your workflow.
Navigating Between Undocked Screens
If an undocked screen is hidden behind other windows or is no longer visible, the easiest way to locate it is through the Window
option on the Khaos Control Menu Bar.
Moving and Resizing Screens
Once a screen has been undocked, it behaves like a standard Windows application window and can be:
- Moved between monitors.
- Resized as required.
- Positioned anywhere on the desktop.
Command Window Limitation
The Command Window cannot be undocked and will always remain within the main Khaos Control application window.
Tips
- Place frequently used screens on a second monitor to reduce switching between tabs.
- Use the Window menu to quickly locate screens that are open but not immediately visible.
- Arrange undocked screens before starting repetitive tasks to create an efficient workspace layout.
- If you regularly use the same screen layout, consider keeping commonly used screens open between tasks where appropriate.
