How To: Setup Unique Alias Offer Codes using Keycodes

Unique Alias Offer Codes allow you to create customer-specific promotional codes that can only be used by the customer they were generated for. These codes can be created manually or generated automatically, making them ideal for targeted marketing campaigns, loyalty rewards and customer-specific promotions.
Create a Keycode for Unique Alias Offer Codes
- Open a Promotion screen (show me how).
- Press Ctrl + N or click the New button.
- Open the [ Key Code ] tab.
- Enter a value in the Code field.
- Enter a description for the Keycode.
- Tick the Discount Code checkbox.
- Configure the remaining Keycode settings as required. For example:
- Select the One Time (SO Only) checkbox if the code should only be used once.
- Assign a Company Class if the promotion should only apply to specific customers.
- Add any percentage or value discounts in the upper grid.
- Add any free or discounted items in the lower grid.
Enable Alias Codes
- Open the [ Aliases ] screen.
- Tick the Enable Aliases checkbox.
- Enter the required format for your alias codes.
Alias Format Examples
Use the

You can combine letters, numbers and symbols as required, with each
# being replaced by a randomly generated number.- Press Ctrl + S or click the Save button.
What Happens Next?
Once aliases are enabled, unique offer codes can be associated with individual customers.
Depending on your requirements, these codes can be:
- Generated automatically for customers.
- Assigned manually to selected customers.
- Distributed by email using a configured email template.
The generated code can only be used by the customer it was created for.
