023686 Support for OAUTH / Signin capability for emails

1.               Overview

KCSL have added support for OAUTH / Signin capability for emails within Khaos Control.

 

KCSL will merge the changes from 023686: Support for OAUTH / Signin capability for emails within Khaos Control into the latest update and deploy it as a development build.

 

3.               Configuration

An update and a changelog will be applied as part of this development. In addition, the following configuration steps are required.

 

3.1 System Values.

 

A). The [ System Operations | Edit System Values | Contact Manager | Emails ] screen has the following fields which need to be configured.



Sender Address :                              Sender Email address

SMTP Host :                                        smtp.office365.com

SMTP Port :                                         587

 

SMTP Requires Authentication : Ticked.

User Name :                                       SMTP user name/address.

Password :                                          SMTP Password.

 

Use Office365 auth :                       Ticked.

 

B). Begin Authorisation.

 

This button is used to obtain the OAuth Token required to send emails.

It will bring up a new window where the SMTP username/email can be entered.

Details on the current Oath Token can be found in the

[ System Data | OAuth Tokens] screen.

 

4.               Usage

After applying the above Configuration, typical steps for usage would include the following.

 

 

1. Emails sent from within Khaos Control, will now use the Office365 authentication.

 

2. Expired OAuth tokens will be renewed automatically the next time that an Email is sent
