025536: Royal Mail Click and Drop - Windsor Framework for Shipments to Northern Ireland
1. Overview
KCSL have updated the Royal Mail Click and Drop courier to support the Windsor Framework for shipments to Northern Ireland.
2. Specification
Two new options will be added to the Royal Mail Click and Drop courier export to support the Windsor Framework:
- Recipient Is A Business - will be taken from a new courier configuration option.
- AIRN - will be populated with the recipient's UKIMS number.
3. Configuration
An updated changelog and application will be provided with this functionality.
A new courier configuration checkbox 'Recipient is a Business' has been added for Royal Mail Click and Drop couriers. This means existing Click and Drop couriers will need this new option configuring, and potentially new couriers will need creating.
This new option is unticked by default.
Companies that require a UKIMS number sending will also need to have a UKIMS number setup against their company record in [ Customer | Detail | Financial ].
This may require configuration of the import mapping on your Royal Mail account. Please see following link for further information:
4. Usage
After applying the above Configuration, typical steps for usage would include:
1. Exporting an invoice that uses Royal Mail Click and Drop will now export 2 new values:
- Recipient Is A Business - this will be populated with 'Y' if the 'Recipient is a Business' courier configuration option is ticked, otherwise will be populated as 'N'.
- AIRN - this will be populated with the customer's UKIMS number. If the company does not have a UKIMS number set against them, this will be blank.
