How To: Add a New Stock Barcode Type to Match On in New Channels
In order for stock items to be matched correctly when a sales order is downloaded from a channel, you need to setup the type of barcode that you wish to use to match. You can add more than one stock barcode as there is a hierarchy. The first barcode in the list is the one the system will use by default, and if it can't match by that barcode, it will try with the next type of barcode in the list. You will need to setup your stock barcodes before they are available to define against your channel, see Create Stock Barcodes and Link to a Stock Item.
Note: For Amazon and uploading the stock levels:
- If you have only one code against a stock item and it is the stock barcode, you can just define the stock code as the matching criteria.
- If you have multiple codes against one stock item, you need to define a barcode, for example Amazon SKU, for each one. Therefore, in the stock item you will need to add the different codes for the item by adding the Amazon SKU barcode multiple times.
