How To: Create a Price List for items with prices that are valid for a specified date range

It is possible to set the dates that the item prices on a price list are valid for. this option only applies to the [ Price Lists | Stock Item/Price List ] tab.

  1. Open a Promotion screen (show me how).
  2. Select the [ Price Lists | Stock Item/Price List ] tab.
  3. Select the required price list from the drop-down list.
    Note: if the Price List is not listed in the options you will need to create it in System Data before you can add stock items to it. See Creating a Price List below.
  4. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  5. Press F3 or click the NEW ITEM button has an icon that shows two sheets of paper (identified by having the top right corner folded down), arranged diagonally on the icon from top left to bottom right to add a new item.
  6. Add the quantity break and/or pricing information.
  7. Repeat for more stock items if necessary.
  8. Make sure the View By option is set to Comp Class.
  9. In the Price List Date Range enter the date from and to that the prices for the items in the grid will be valid for.
  10. Click on the Tick to apply the dates in a Price List button button to apply the dates to all the items in the grid. This can be updated for individual lines by double-clicking on the date in the grid that you wish to change.
  11. Click Yes in the warning popup.
  12. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save when you have finished.

Notes:

  • When adding additional items into the grid these will inherit the date that is in the 'Price List Date Range'.
  • Dates can be removed from the grid using the Cross to remove the dates. next to the date range.
