How To: Create Gift Vouchers

Gift Vouchers functionality is not enabled by default.

Note: there will be additional costs involved if this option is enabled.

For those clients having the Gift Voucher functionality enabled, before a customer can use a voucher, it must first be purchased or created.
Note: it is possible to have the voucher code automatically generated when a gift voucher is added to a sales order by ticking the option Automatically Generate Voucher Codes in [ System Values | Stock | Reward Points and Vouchers ].


Create Gift Voucher in the Voucher Screen

  1. Open a Promotion screen (show me how).
  2. [ Voucher ] screen.
  3. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  4. Press F3 or click the NEW ITEM button has an icon that shows two sheets of paper (identified by having the top right corner folded down), arranged diagonally on the icon from top left to bottom right to add a new item.
  5. Add the Voucher Code.
  6. Change the user (Optional).
  7. Enter the amount of the voucher.
  8. Change the date if necessary.
  9. Add an Expiry Date (Optional).
  10. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save.
    Note: any existing vouchers you have sold / released need to be entered onto Khaos Control for them to be used once this functionality is enabled.

Purchasing Gift Vouchers

  1. Create a Sales Order as normal.
  2. Add the Gift Voucher stock item to the Sales Order.
  3. In the Voucher popup enter:
    The voucher code:
    The amount.
    Check in the checkbox if an expiry date is to be added. The calendar option will be enabled, select the expiry date.
  4. Click on OK.
  5. Process the sales order as normal.
