How To: Delete a Website or Category

 Website Categories setup and maintenance is an Advanced User feature.
Please speak to your website developers before using this feature.

Configuring and using Web Categories requires HQ User permission.

  1. Open a Web Configuration screen (show me how).
  2. Load the website.
  3. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  4. Click on the BtnWCExpandX.jpg button.
  5. Focus on either the website or the category you wish to delete.
  6. Click on the the DELETE ITEM button has an icon that shows a sheet of paper with a red minus in the bottom left. button on the button bar.
  7. Click on Yes in the Confirm popup.
  8. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save.

    Note: if you have created a website or sub category with no name so it looks like a blank stub and you cannot click on it because there is no text, try the following to delete it:
  1. Focus on a website or category that has a name.
  2. User the keyboard cursors to scroll down to nameless category or website.
  3. Click the the DELETE ITEM button has an icon that shows a sheet of paper with a red minus in the bottom left. to remove it.
