How To: Set a Stock Type Price Against a Customer

  1. Add Quantity Break Discounts for a Customer and Stock Type

Use quantity break discounts to offer different pricing levels based on the quantity a customer purchases. This allows you to apply discounts or mark-up values for specific customers and stock types within a promotion.

    1. Open the required Promotion screen using the guide: (show me how).
    2. Enable the lower grid by selecting the check box beneath the main grid.
    3. Click the lookup button above the lower grid and select the required customer.
    4. Choose the appropriate stock type from the drop-down list.
    5. Enter edit mode by pressing Alt + E or clicking Edit.
    6. Add a new entry by pressing F3 or clicking Add.
    7. Complete the required fields:

      • Mark-Up %: Alternatively, enter a mark-up percentage based on the buy price.
    8. Repeat these steps if you need to add:
      • Additional stock types for the same customer.
      • Multiple quantity break bands for the same stock type.
    9. Save your changes by pressing Ctrl + S or clicking Save.

    Additional Information

    • Quantity break banding allows you to apply different pricing structures based on order quantity.
    • You can use either discount values or a mark-up percentage, depending on how the promotion should be calculated.
    • Ensure quantity bands do not overlap, as this may result in unexpected pricing behaviour.
