How To: Transfer Stock to Another Site

If using warehouse control stock is moved between sites using the Perform Location Movements dialog

Stock can be transferred between sites, any adjustments will represent a stock move from the site the user is currently logged in at to the site defined in the Site To drop-down.

1. Open a Stock screen (show me how).
2. Open the [ Stock | Adjustments ] tab.
3. Load the stock items to be adjusted:
   1. Stock Item
      Note: this needs to be loaded before opening the [ Stock | Adjustments ] tab.
      1. Click on the button above the grid.
   2. Groups of Stock Items
      1. Right click on the button above the grid.
      2. Select 'Lookup and Open'.
      3. In the Stock Lookup dialog, green select all the stock items you wish to transfer and then double click on the to add them to the Adjustment grid.
   3. Stock Type
      1. Tick the 'Adjust (Stock Type)' checkbox.
      2. Tick the required Stock Type checkboxes.
      3. Click on the button above the grid.
4. Change the Adjust Type to Transfer.
5. Select the site to transfer the stock to in the Site To drop-down.
6. Enter the amount of stock to transfer to the selected site in the 'Adjust By' column.
   Note: this must be a positive number.
7. Enter a reason or note any information for the stock transfer in the Note/Reason field.
   Note: adjustment reasons can be selected from a drop-down list if setup, for example 'Stock Transfer to Site Name', see How To: Setup Adjustment Reasons.
8. When all transfer quantities have been entered, click on the button above the grid.
9. Acknowledge the message informing you of the sites you're transferring between by clicking on the blue circle, then clicking OK
10. The Transfer Report popup will appear. By default the transfer report is for the last adjustment group ID that was created.The display options are:
    • Stock Item
    • Source Site
    • Destination Site
11. Select the type of labels to print ( / traffic light filter) (Optional)
    Note: this must be setup beforehand, see How To: Set Up Labels.
12. Click on OK.
13. The Transfer Report will be displayed and can be printed along with stock labels if selected.
    
    

Notes:

• You can't transfer negative amounts, if you make an error while transferring stock see How To: Correct a Stock Site Transfer made in Error to correct it.
• The date of the transfer can't be changed, it is when you save and post the transfer.
• To view a previous Stock Transfer Report see How To: View a Previous Stock Transfer Report.
• Previous stock transfers can be seen in the [ Adjustments | History ] tab.
• No changes in stock values take place when transferring stock between sites.
