Subscriptions

Subscriptions are lists of stock items which are to be shipped sequentially at defined intervals from a specified start date. The intervals can be daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, six-monthly, annual, bi-weekly, bi-monthly, bi-annual or custom. When a customer subscribes to, or joins a subscription, the system generates a customer specific shipment, or shipment schedule, for them which lists the items in order along with their specific shipment dates which are calculated from the base date, the day of the month, the interval specified, the item focused on and the subscription type.

    • Fixed: starts the sequence at the beginning (current date) and follows it to the end.
  • Interval: the interval at which the shipment is generated.
  • Date From and Date To: date range filters (defaults to the last 12 months).

Shipments

Shipments, or shipment schedules, are normally generated from subscriptions and sales orders but they can also be created manually. They are customer specific lists of items to be shipped on specified dates along with any other items to be shipped at the same time (attachments). Once a shipment date arrives for an item, it is manually, or automatically, added to the shipment queue. The items in the queue are then manually, or automatically, processed, at which time a sales order is generated for the item and any attachments. These sales orders can then be edited and are processed as normal. Shipments that are generated from subscriptions and sales orders can be edited and tailored on an individual basis later.
