Credit Review Methods allow you to record how a customer's creditworthiness has been assessed.
These methods can then be selected on the [ Customer | Detail | Financial ] screen when carrying out customer credit reviews.
Using standardised credit review methods helps ensure consistency across your business and provides a clear audit trail of how credit decisions were made.

Common Credit Review Methods

Examples of commonly used credit review methods include:
  • Credit reference agency
  • Bank reference
  • Bank statement review
  • Trade reference
  • Management approval
  • Credit insurer assessment

The Credit Review Methods screen contains the following field:

Using Credit Review Methods

Once configured, credit review methods can be selected when maintaining customer financial records.
This allows users to record:
  • How the customer's credit rating was assessed.
  • The source of the credit information.

The selected method is stored against the customer record for future reference.

Context Menu Options

The Credit Review Methods screen includes the following shortcut menu options.

Apply Value Range

Applies the same value to multiple selected records within the current column.
This can be useful when updating several records at once.

Clear Selection

Removes the current row selection from the grid.
This does not delete any records and only clears the highlighted selection.
