How To: Set Live Currency Conversion Rates

Overview
Khaos Control can automatically update currency exchange rates using live market data.
Live exchange rates are compiled from multiple sources to help provide stable and accurate conversion values. This can save time and reduce the need for manual updates when working with multiple currencies.
Updating Live Exchange Rates
- Open a System Data screen (show me how).
- Open [ System Data | Currency Conversions ], located in the International section near the bottom of the grid.
- Press Alt+E or click Edit to enter edit mode.
- Right-click anywhere within the Currency Conversions screen and select Get Live Exchange Rates.
- Review the summary of exchange rates that will be applied.
- Read and acknowledge the warning message, then select OK.
- Press Ctrl+S or click Save to save the updated rates.
What Happens Next?
Once saved, the selected currency conversion rates will be updated using the latest available live values.
Additional Information
Manual Exchange Rates
You can continue to maintain exchange rates manually if preferred. Using live rates is optional and does not replace manual control of exchange rate values.
Supported Currencies
Live exchange rate updates currently support the following currencies:
- GBP (British Pound)
- AUD (Australian Dollar)
- EUR (Euro)
- USD (US Dollar)
- CNY (Chinese Yuan)
- JPY (Japanese Yen)
Tips
- Review the exchange rate summary before saving to ensure the proposed rates are suitable for your business processes.
- If you need to use a fixed exchange rate for accounting or commercial reasons, you can manually adjust the values instead of using the live update feature.
- Remember to save your changes after retrieving live rates, otherwise the updated values will not be retained.
