How To: Add a Sell Price as a Mark-up % of the Stock Value in a Price List

It is possible to define the selling price as a Net value calculated from a mark-up % on the Stock Value for [ Price Lists | Stock Item / Price ] promotions.

  1. Open a Promotion screen (show me how).
  2. Select the [ Price Lists | Stock Item/Price List ] tab.
  3. Select the required price list from the drop-down list.
    Note: if the Price List is not listed in the options you will need to create it in System Data before you can add stock items to it. See Creating a Price List below.
  4. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  5. Make sure that the Price List is Net checkbox is ticked.
  6. Press F3 or click the NEW ITEM button has an icon that shows two sheets of paper (identified by having the top right corner folded down), arranged diagonally on the icon from top left to bottom right to add a new item.
  7. Tick the Price from Stock Value checkbox.
  8. Enter the Mark-up%.
  9. Repeat for more stock items if necessary.
  10. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save.

Notes:

  1. Defining the selling price based upon the stock value is only allowed for Price Lists using 'Net' values.
  2. If the stock value of an item changes, then so will the sell price on the price list if calculating based upon the stock value.
