How To: Find prospects that have not ordered

One way of finding the last quarter's prospects that have not ordered is to use List Manager to create three lists:

This list of prospects could be used to print address labels for a reminder mailshot, for example.

Pre-requisites

It must be possible to identify those customers that have been sent a brochure (e.g. keycode).

Process

  1. Set appropriate filters on the Sales Summary / Customers screen to populate the grid with everyone that has been sent a brochure in the last six months.
  2. Green-select all the records and send them to an empty list in List Manager (you might wish to create a new list named "2012-06-brochure" to use for this).
  3. Set appropriate filters on the Sales Summary / Customers screen to populate the grid with everyone that has placed a sales order in the last sixth months.
  4. Green-select all the records and send them to an empty list in List Manager (you might wish to create a new list named "2012-06-sales" to use for this).
  5. Using the example names, in List Manager drag "2012-06-brochure" to the basket, selecting "Add items to basket".
  6. In List Manager, drag "2012-06-sales" to the basket, selecting "Delete items from basket".
  7. Create a new (empty) list in List Manager (you might name this list "Sent brochure, not ordered").
  8. Select the "Sent brochure, not ordered" list and press the basket's "Add button" to add the contents of the basket to the "Sent brochure, not ordered" list.
  9. On the List tab, untick "deceased", "do not use", etc. as desired and press the GO button to populate the grid.
  10. Use the "Print Labels" button to print labels or use the grid menu to print a report, etc.
